What Makes the Mazda3 So Awesome?

September 8th, 2022 by

It’s a truly exceptional vehicle!

The Mazda3 was first introduced in 2003, and it remains one of our favorite cars today! But what is it about the model that makes it so special? Well, there are plenty of reasons—and we’re going to highlight a few of them for you!

Safety

We never forget safety, which is arguably the most important aspect of a quality car. The Mazda3 has an array of safety features, including automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, automatic high-beam headlights, standard lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, and available adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go technology. Unsurprisingly, the 2022 Mazda3 earned a 5-star safety rating from NHTSA.

Impeccable Style

Mazda is known for being a very aesthetically pleasing brand, and that is clearly seen by the Mazda3. The brand’s Kodo philosophy is present as always, which helps to create a beautiful design that is constantly improving and always stylish. The 2022 Mazda3 is sleek and sophisticated, plus there are multiple colors to choose from, including Jet Black Mica and Soul Red Crystal Metallic. There is also a new Carbon Edition, which is available on both the sedan and hatchback. This edition has a Polymetal Gray Metallic exterior and 18-inch black alloy wheels, as well as black heated side mirrors. The interior features red leather-trimmed sport seats.

Fun and Capable Drive

Mazda continues to make cars that are fun to drive. Whether you’re shopping for a hatchback or sedan, the Mazda3 offers an awesome driving experience. The same can’t be said for some other brands, who don’t always invest their energy into creating an entertaining driving experience.

There are 3 different types of 4-cylinder engines available on the Mazda3. The 2.0-liter is on the base sedan, makes 155 hp, and comes with front-wheel drive, while the 2.5-liter engine features 186 hp and an optional all-wheel drive system. Last, but certainly not least, is the turbocharged 2.5-liter engine that has a horsepower of 250. This allows the car to respond to the gas-pedal input incredibly quickly.

All engine options, however, will allow for a quick response. The Mazda3 can handle straight and winding roads alike with exceptional quality. Car and Driver praised the model, saying, “It has tight body control, natural-feeling steering, and a firm ride that manages not to punish occupants when going over rough roads.”

These are just 3 of the many reasons we love the Mazda3 so much. If you’re interested in learning more about the model and taking one for a test drive, reach out to us at McDonald Mazda North. Our staff is highly trained and looks forward to helping you find the perfect Mazda model for you!
