To be eligible for the 2024 TOP SAFETY PICK+ award, a car must receive good ratings in the small overlap front and updated side tests. It must also earn an acceptable or good rating in the updated moderate overlap front tests, which now stress rear seat safety. Additionally, a vehicle must receive an acceptable or good rating in the pedestrian front crash prevention test. Finally, every trim level should have headlights that earn an acceptable or good rating.
